Solar submersible pump working principle, components and installation

Solar Panel Power Generation: Solar panels convert sunlight into direct current.

Power Regulation and Distribution: The controller regulates the power to ensure that the voltage and current are within the appropriate range while preventing the battery from overcharging or over-discharging.

Power Storage (Optional): If the system is equipped with a storage device, the excess power will be stored for use at night or on cloudy days.

Power Driven Submersible Pump: The controller transmits power to the submersible pump, which starts working to pump water from the water source to the designated location.

Solar Panel

Type: Monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, thin-film solar cells, etc.

Efficiency: Monocrystalline silicon has the highest efficiency, but the cost is also higher.

Installation Angle: Adjust the angle according to the geographical location and season to maximize the reception of sunlight.

Controller

Function: Voltage regulation, overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, temperature compensation, etc.

Type: PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller and MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller. MPPT controllers are more efficient, but the cost is also higher.

Submersible Pump

Type: DC submersible pump and AC submersible pump. DC submersible pumps are more suitable for solar energy systems.

Power and head: Choose the appropriate power and head according to actual needs. Head refers to the height to which the pump can lift water, and flow refers to the amount of water that can be pumped per unit time.

Energy storage device

Type: lead-acid battery, lithium battery, etc.

Capacity: Choose the appropriate battery capacity according to system requirements and sunshine conditions.

Maintenance: Lead-acid batteries require regular maintenance, while lithium batteries require less maintenance but are more expensive.

Selection

Head and flow: Choose the appropriate head and flow according to actual needs. The higher the head, the more power is required.

Sunlight conditions: Choose the appropriate solar panel power and energy storage device capacity according to local sunshine conditions.

Water source depth: Choose the appropriate submersible pump type according to the water source depth.

Installation

Solar panel installation: Make sure the solar panel faces due south (northern hemisphere) or due north (southern hemisphere), and adjust the tilt angle according to the local latitude.

Submersible pump installation: Make sure the submersible pump is installed at an appropriate depth to avoid sucking in mud or debris.

Connection between controller and energy storage device: Connect the controller and energy storage device correctly according to the instructions to ensure stable operation of the system.
