Head

Total Required Head = Vertical Height of Water Intake + Horizontal Distance × 10% (including pipeline losses)

Note: The rated head of the pump only needs to be 10% higher than the required value; otherwise, it will consume more electricity.

Flow Rate

Required Flow Rate (m³/h) = Irrigation Area (acres) × 30m³/acre ÷ Planned Time (hours)

*Example: 50 acres planned to be irrigated in 8 hours, required flow rate ≈ 188m³/h*
