1. Working Principle
The core of the electric pump station is to drive the pump through the motor, convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, and then convert mechanical energy into kinetic energy or pressure energy of the fluid, so as to realize the transportation, pressurization or circulation of the liquid. Its working principle can be divided into the following parts for detailed description:
1. Motor drive
The motor is the power source of the electric pump station, usually using an AC motor (such as a three-phase asynchronous motor) or a DC motor.
When the motor is energized, the stator generates a rotating magnetic field to drive the rotor to rotate, thereby converting electrical energy into mechanical energy.
The speed and power of the motor determine the output performance of the pump (such as flow and head).
2. Working process of the pump
The pump is the core actuator of the electric pump station. Depending on the type of pump (such as centrifugal pump, plunger pump, gear pump, etc.), its working principle is slightly different. Take the most common centrifugal pump as an example:
Impeller rotation: The motor drives the pump shaft to rotate, and the impeller on the pump shaft rotates at high speed.
Liquid suction: When the impeller rotates, a negative pressure (vacuum) is formed at the inlet of the pump, and the liquid is sucked into the pump.
Liquid pressurization: After the liquid enters the impeller, it is thrown to the outer edge of the impeller under the action of centrifugal force, and the kinetic energy and pressure energy are increased.
Liquid discharge: The pressurized liquid is discharged from the outlet of the pump through the diversion effect of the pump casing and enters the delivery pipeline.
3. Control system
Electric pumping stations are usually equipped with a control system to monitor and adjust the operating status of the pump.
The control system can achieve the following functions:
Start/stop control: Control the start and stop of the pump through buttons, remote control or automatic signals.
Pressure regulation: Regulate the speed of the pump through pressure sensors and frequency converters to achieve constant pressure water supply or on-demand regulation.
Fault protection: Such as overload protection, phase loss protection, dry running protection, etc., to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
4. Auxiliary components
Valve: used to adjust the flow or prevent liquid backflow (such as check valve).
Filter: Prevent impurities from entering the pump and protect the pump and pipeline.
Liquid storage tank: Used to store liquid in some systems to balance flow fluctuations.
