Composition of water supply pump station

The water supply pump station is mainly composed of the following parts.

1. Water inlet structure

The water inlet structure includes the forebay and the suction well, which is used to provide good water inlet conditions for the water pump or the suction bell mouth of the water pump suction pipe.

2. Pump room

The pump room is a structure for installing water pumps, motors, pipelines and their auxiliary facilities. Its main function is to provide good working conditions for the installation, maintenance and operation management of the main unit.

3. Main unit

Including water pumps and motors, it is the main equipment in the pump station.

4. Pipeline

Refers to the suction pipeline and pressure pipeline of the water pump. The suction pipeline of the water pump absorbs water from the water inlet structure, and then delivers water to the user through the pressure pipeline and the pipe network system after the water pump.

5. Metering equipment

Including flow meter, vacuum gauge, pressure gauge, thermometer, etc.

6. Water filling equipment

When the water pump is suction-type, it needs to be filled with water with water filling equipment before starting. The water filling equipment mainly includes vacuum pumps, gas-water separators, and circulating water tanks.

7. Drainage facilities

Used to remove the accumulated water in the pump room to keep the environment in the pump room clean and safe. Mainly including drainage pumps, sump pits, drainage ditches, etc.

8. Lifting equipment

Lifting equipment set up for the installation and maintenance of water pumps, motors and other equipment. Lifting equipment mainly includes tripod-mounted manual hoists, monorail suspension cranes, bridge cranes, etc.

9. Ventilation and heating equipment

Refers to the ventilation equipment and heating system of the pump room.

10. Water hammer prevention equipment

Refers to the relevant equipment for preventing and controlling water hammer.

11. Electrical equipment

Refers to substation equipment, high-voltage distribution equipment, low-voltage distribution equipment, etc.

12. Other facilities

Mainly include communications, safety, fire protection, lighting, etc.
