Types and applications of water pumps

Types of pumps, types of water pumps, application scope of water pumps. Various types of water pumps are usually named according to their uses. The name of the water pump contains information such as the operating mode, application scope of the water pump or the conveying medium.

1. The types of water pumps according to the operating status are as follows:

In addition to the working pump, there are also standby pumps and standby pumps.

The main pump sometimes also includes a pre-pump such as a booster pump or a feed pump.

According to the working mode, it is divided into: full-load operation pumps or basic load operation pumps, partial load operation pumps

(such as half-load operation pumps) or low-load operation pumps and peak load operation pumps, auxiliary pumps, starting pumps and emergency pumps.

2. According to the application scope of water pumps, the types of water pumps are as follows:

Named according to the process or process purpose, there are many types of water pumps. Only the most common names are listed below.

In the fields of water supply, drainage, irrigation and sewage treatment, water supply pumps and water supply pumps are used. For non-negative pressure supply equipment, please refer to variable frequency water supply equipment) deep well pumps, deep well submersible pumps, irrigation pumps, water pumps, water delivery pumps, flood control pumps and rainwater pumps.

The generator set uses a diesel engine water pump, and the heating equipment uses a boiler feed pump (water supply pump), condensate pump, reactor pump, water storage pump (usually used when pump-driven and turbine-driven), hot water pump and hot water circulation pump.

In the chemical and petrochemical fields, chemical pumps, pipeline pumps, refining pumps, process pumps, pipeline pumps, loading and unloading pumps, mixing pumps and reflux pumps are used.

In the shipbuilding industry, marine pumps, cargo oil pumps (oil tanker unloading), pressure pumps, bilge pumps, dock pumps and water propulsion pumps (pumping and draining docks) are used.

Other application areas use mining pumps, mining pumps, fire pumps, booster pumps, scavenging pumps and ventilation pumps.

3. Types of water pumps according to the conveying medium:

Water pumps are often named according to the name of the conveying medium.

The most common pumps are mainly used to transport liquids whose main component is water. These include pure water pumps, drinking water pumps, hot water pumps, cooling water pumps, seawater pumps, sewage lifting pumps, liquid fertilizer pumps, stable liquid pumps, slurry pumps, mud pumps, impurity pumps, pulping pumps and plant fiber pumps.

Types of pumps named after other media being transported include oil pumps (fuel pumps, lubricating oil pumps), fuel pumps, heat carrier pumps, coolant pumps, liquefied gas pumps, grease pumps, acid pumps, alkali pumps, beverage pumps (milk pumps, beer pumps or wine pumps), fish suction pumps, beet pumps, fruit pumps, concrete pumps (transporting liquid concrete along pipelines to the construction site; do not confuse with concrete volute pumps) and cooling water pumps.
