Water pump is a commonly used mechanical equipment for human beings. It can transport low-energy water from a low position to another higher position. It can generally be used in sewage treatment, water quality treatment and sewage treatment projects. Water pumps are generally classified according to several different reasons such as water absorption method, flow rate, flow characteristics and purpose.

1). Classification by water absorption method:

1. Submersible pump: The water inlet of the submersible pump is deep in the water bottom, and the water is transported from a low position to a high position. It is particularly suitable for deeper water layers.

2. Deep well pump: The water inlet of the deep well pump goes deep into the deep well, which can obtain a higher water delivery capacity. It is suitable for deep well mining and water resource development.

3. Self-priming pump: The water inlet of the self-priming pump is located above the water surface, so it can automatically suck water from a low water level position. It is commonly used for fire fighting, irrigation and other purposes.

4. Throttle pump: The throttling pump adopts a vertical structure, which can automatically adjust the flow rate. It is suitable for lower pressure and can be used in sewage treatment projects.

2). Classification by flow rate:

1. Large flow pump: Large flow pump is mainly used for large-scale projects, most commonly used in irrigation, fire fighting, factory production and other engineering fields, with a flow rate of more than 1000 cubic meters per hour.

2. Medium flow pump: Medium flow pump is mainly used for medium-sized projects, with a flow rate between 100-1000 cubic meters per hour.

3. Small flow pump: Small flow pump is mainly used for small projects, with a flow rate between 10-100 cubic meters per hour.

3). Classification by flow characteristics:

1. Single-stage pump: The pressure of the output liquid of a single-stage pump is equal to the pressure of the inhaled liquid. It is designed in a vertical manner, which can output the inhaled liquid to a higher pressure.

2. Multistage pump: A multistage pump is composed of a series of turbines, which can transport water from a low position to a higher position. The multistage pump has a larger flow rate and a higher output pressure, which is suitable for high-pressure or large-flow engineering applications.

3. Turbine pump: Turbine pump uses the rotation of the wheel-shaped rotor to accelerate the water body, and the wheel-shaped rotor can exert expansion and relaxation to achieve high-efficiency pump output.

4). Classification by use:

1. Sewage pump: Sewage pump is mainly used for sewage treatment, which can improve the purification effect of sewage and effectively transport pollutants.

2. Sewage treatment pump: Sewage treatment pump is mainly used for sewage treatment, which can effectively purify pollutants and restore water quality.

3. Cooling water pump: Cooling water pump is mainly used for industrial cooling, which can dissipate heat from the surface of the machine to the cooling water filter, effectively reduce the temperature of industrial machinery and protect the safe operation of the machine.

4. Water supply pump: Water supply pump is mainly used for irrigation, urban water supply, fire fighting, etc., which can transport water from low position to higher position to achieve effective water supply.

The above is a brief introduction to the classification of water pumps. Water pumps play an important role in our daily life and industrial production. Due to different application scenarios, water pumps also have a variety of types. I hope the above introduction can help you and have a deeper understanding of water pumps and their classification.
