Agricultural submersible electric pumps are a major water-lifting equipment for rural households to solve their production and living water needs. However, due to the large number of manufacturers of submersible electric pumps and the large gap in technical strength, the quality of products varies greatly. Therefore, if you want to choose a water pump with reliable quality and low price, you must start from the following aspects:
1. Choose a water pump manufacturer
As a user, you are generally limited by professional knowledge and cannot determine which brand of water pump to use. Therefore, when purchasing a pump, it is best to consult experts in water pumps; if there is a lack of people in this field, you may ask old pump users, especially users with similar or similar usage conditions as yourself.
When choosing a water pump, you must first recognize the manufacturer of the water pump. It is recommended to give priority to purchasing a water-filled submersible electric pump. When choosing a pump, you must first check the brand and product certificate. Never buy "three-no" products, that is, no manufacturer, no production date, and no production license. Otherwise, if there is a problem, the user will be helpless. At the same time, the decision to use a single-phase pump or a three-phase pump should be made based on the local power supply situation.
2. Determine the parameters of the water pump
The key to selecting a submersible electric pump is to determine the parameters such as the pump head and flow rate. The head required by the user is best to be close to the head on the pump nameplate, so that it can be used economically and the efficiency can be maximized. However, it does not require absolute equality. Generally, a deviation of no more than 20% can work in a relatively energy-saving situation. If the selected water pump head is too small, a low-lift pump is used for high-lift work, that is, "a small horse pulling a big cart". Even if water can be pumped, the amount of water will be very small; if the water pump head is too high, a high-lift pump is used for low-lift work, that is, "a big horse pulling a small cart", there will be excessive flow during operation, motor overload, and if it runs for a long time, the motor temperature will rise, the winding insulation layer will gradually age, and even burn the motor.
The flow selection of the water pump should be adapted to the water supply and water consumption of the water source and the local economic conditions, and specific problems should be treated specifically.
3. Check the quality of the water pump
The motor of the submersible electric pump has water-filled, oil-filled and shielded structures, and the water-filled type is the most widely used. Before using this water pump, all the bolts of the two water injection holes must be unscrewed, one for water injection (sand-free water) and the other for air discharge. After water injection, wait for about 15 minutes, and then add clean water after all the air in the motor cavity is exhausted. Tighten the two water injection bolts after the water is filled. Make the motor in a sealed state. After the motor is filled with water, the winding works in the water, and the insulation of the motor can be measured. The insulation resistance must be measured with a megohmmeter, i.e., a shaker, and a multimeter cannot be used, because the range of the multimeter is limited, and the insulation resistance between the winding and the earth cannot be measured clearly. After the insulation is qualified, the water pump is tested for trial operation. In places where conditions permit, after filling the motor with water, tighten the water injection bolts, and the pump can be powered on in the pool for trial operation, but it cannot be operated for a long time. If there are no conditions, it can be idling on the well, but the time must not exceed 2-3 seconds.
