Maintenance plan for sprinkler self-priming pump

Maintenance plan for sprinkler self-priming pumps

As a common water pump, sprinkler self-priming pumps are widely used in agricultural irrigation, urban water supply and other places. In long-term use, sprinkler self-priming pumps will inevitably fail due to external environment, improper operation and other reasons. This document aims to introduce common faults and maintenance plans for sprinkler self-priming pumps to help users quickly solve problems.

Common faults

1. Pump does not respond. There may be the following reasons for the unresponsiveness of sprinkler self-priming pumps: power failure; motor switch damage; motor failure; capacitor failure; air blockage. For these reasons, the following measures can be taken: check the power line; check the switch and replace it; replace the motor; replace the capacitor; eliminate air blockage.

2. Pump startup difficulties. There may be the following reasons for the difficulty in starting a sprinkler self-priming pump: water inlet pipe blockage; water suction height is too large, and the pipe cannot introduce water due to insufficient pressure; pump blade blockage; mechanical seal leakage; pump shaft and bearing wear. For these reasons, the following measures can be taken: clean the water inlet pipe; redesign or increase the pipe diameter; clean the pump blades; replace the mechanical seal; replace the pump shaft and bearings.

3. Reduced pump flow The reasons for the reduced flow of the sprinkler self-priming pump may be as follows: the inlet valve is closed; there are impurities in the inlet pipe; the pump blades are muddy; the pipe leaks; the pump body is blocked; the water suction height is too high. For these reasons, the following measures can be taken: open the inlet valve; clean the inlet pipe; clean the pump blades; repair the pipe leak; clean the pump body; redesign or increase the pipe diameter.

4. Excessive pump noise The reasons for the excessive noise of the sprinkler self-priming pump may be as follows:

Bearing damage; bearing too tight or too loose; pump blades collide with the shell; bend too much; air blockage; pump body deformation. For these reasons, the following measures can be taken: replace the bearing; adjust the bearing tightness; adjust the pump blades; replace the pump blades; eliminate air blockage; check the pump body and repair or replace it. Summary Sprinkler self-priming pump is a common water pump, and various faults are inevitable in long-term use. This document introduces the common faults of sprinkler irrigation self-priming pumps and the corresponding maintenance solutions, hoping to be helpful to users. In actual operation, the operation should be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements of the manual, and regular maintenance should be carried out to ensure the normal use of the sprinkler irrigation self-priming pump.
